Summary and Reflection

Summary

A really good basketball player who had a bright future ahead of him due to his talents was sentenced to 3 years in jail because he physically abused his girlfriend.

Reflection

He threw away his future, he could’ve been someone. But he did something horrible to someone he is supposed to love and care for and because that he will have to pay the consequences.

Student Success Story

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.”

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I agree with this quote, troubles that one faces are not as important as what your intentions are. If you have good intentions and choose the right, all obstacles can be overcome.

Summary & Reflection

Summary

Alex Schwazer was banned for using drugs, he won the gold medal in speed walking.

Reflection

I think that what Alex did was wrong. He won the gold medal but won it unjustly, he did not deserve it. He deceived people and took first place from another person who would’ve won it honestly.

Summary and Reflection

Summary:

Marion jones won a bunch of medals at the Olympics. She seemed happy but it was all an act. She used performance enhancing drugs and cheated.

Reflection

It was bad that she did that. She now has to pay the consequences for her wrong doings.

Summary and Reflection

Summary

A girl was locked in a bathroom for 6 years by her grandparents. They only let her out for school and for special occasions.

Reflection

These people chose the wrong in a horrible way, how could anyone be capable of such cruelty. This is truly an act of monstrosity, and the grandparents will have to live with guilt the rest of their lives.

Summary and Reflection

Summary

A man stole money from sears and after 60 years he returned it.

Reflection

I think he did the right thing by returning it, better late than never. Because he chose the wrong he felt bad for 60 years, he could’ve avoided it by not doing it in the first place. This just goes to show, everything has a consequence, no matter how long it takes.

Reflection

Summary

Two girls were racing and Debb, who was winning, had an injury, so Jenna, who was in 2nd place, helped her finish.

Reflection

Jenna showed what good sportsmanship is all about. She chose the right, she showed that winning isn’t the most important thing when playing sports. Jenna couldve easily passed Debb but she didnt, she even let Debb win 1st place.

Tiger Woods Reflection

Summary

Tiger Woods ignored his brother when he was in need; he had MS and was losing his home.

Reflection

I think Tiger Woods should help, he has the money and they are his family, he chose the wrong and should instead choose the right. CTR!!!
